About research

At the Medical Data Science Laboratory, we are conducting research on management methodologies that connect life science technology and business from both practical and theoretical perspectives. Research targets include pharmaceutical / medical device development, medicine, health care, and medical policy. Utilizing my own experience in launching startups (venture companies), not only conducting theoretical research on innovation management systems that promote the creation of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, functional foods, etc., but also conducting practical research to develop efficient medicines and create new businesses ourselves using large-scale computers.

For those who seek for a PhD

Medical Data Science Laboratory is looking for graduate students (master’s course, doctoral course).

Mainly, the study deals with issues that are becoming more prominent in the healthcare setting. Through research and human resource development, we aim to contribute to the development of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry by overcoming various issues in the field as well as improving individual skills. Especially for those who belong to a pharmaceutical company and want to get a PhD degree, it is not as challenging as graduate school where you have to do full-time research, so it is possible to get a PhD while working. You can participate in the progress meeting and get to know the atmosphere of a seminar, so we look forward to hearing from you.

Profile

I was born on July 8^th, 1974. I have lived in various places all over Japan from the south (Fukuoka) to the north (Sapporo), but recently I learned that I can’t live in the city anymore.I am an enthusiastic carp fan, but afraid that a long ice age will come after the recent golden age.
